Writing an Essay on the Philosophy of Religion

Writing an Essay on the Philosophy of ReligionThe philosophy of religion essay topics are often the same for all the essays, but most likely will be related to some degree. If you are the writer of the essay then you will probably have more freedom in terms of choosing the topic ideas. However, there are certain areas that can be covered and a few questions that must be asked in the essay. How is a philosophical system different from a theological system? You will need to describe what each one has in common, especially the absence of free will. For example, a lot of discussions of religion involve questions of free will vs. predestination, sin vs. grace, etc. These discussions always center on the lack of freedom. How does today's discussion of religion affect our ability to solve problems? Do you think that a more liberal culture affects the ability to solve those problems? In a lot of the discussion, it seems that we as a society have been willing to take any kind of action, includi ng the type of action that is destructive of individual freedoms.A good question to ask is: How is this definition of free will any different than one that would be found in the common sense definitions? The popular view on free will involves people randomly deciding to do what they want and don't want to do. Now you can argue that people choose to do what they want or to not do what they don't want to do; it all depends on the person and what they feel they should be doing.Does this religious world view actually exist? The only people who argue that free will is not real are people who have never done anything themselves. They claim that no one has ever done anything without free will, and if it was so, we would all be slaves. What makes religious arguments any better than other arguments? For example, the argument against abortion, the Catholic view on contraception, etc. isn't any different than the argument against raising your children or about gay marriage. It just depends on w hat you believe.Philosophy of religion is a big subject. The logical differences between beliefs of many different religions are vast. You can easily spend a lot of time reviewing these things, but it is usually best to keep them at a safe level of discourse, especially during these tough economic times.Philosophy of religion essay topics may cover these areas, but you will probably spend most of your time in your own research in answering these questions. There are a number of excellent books available that will help you with the logic as well as the specifics of how a philosophy of religion is different from any other philosophy.
